Ok, I was told about this site form someone and figured I would give it a shot. They found a tumor in my husbands brain on Dec 16th 2011. He had surgery on Dec 19th 2011 and was told he has Stage 3 Glioma (anaplastic Astrocytoma). As of right now he is getting ready to start Chemo and Radiation and is unable to work or even drive.
My questions to everyone is about a mold issue we have in our house. We had someone come out and look at it and said that we have a bad mold problem. Since my husband is going to be on Chemo it will weaken his immune system. So we would really like to try to fix this as soon as possible. For him and our 2 young kids in our home (ages 2 and 5).
With him being off work right now we are having a hard time trying to figure out how to pay for this and every other bill we have. I am not just asking for money.. I would like to know if anyone knows of any programs out there that will help with mold issues or help cancer patients for that matter.
Thank you for taking the time to read and any help that you may have.

in response to bookworm2011...Little bit of this and a little bit of that. Haha No nothing new. Sounds like you have your hands full. Tell the one who's going to Mexico to be careful. It's deffaniately not like America in most of the country, to much corruption. Just have him keep his eyes open and when someone says duck they aren't talking foul. The one being potty trained, I'm not touchig that with a ten foot pole. You are probably right about the girls, when any kid and I mean any is quit for any length of time count on trouble of some sort.
in response to Schmidty...I've been around..doing a little of this, a little of that lol
working mostly and forever busy with my kids..one is about to go to Mexico to build an orphanage so running around trying to get his passport in time..the other is potty training..vast differences! Both extremely important nontheless..and my girls have both been pretty quiet this week, which spells trouble in some form or the other..thats about it, how about you? Anything new?
Hello, I'm a single mom who is in need of a reliable transportation vehicle. Unfortunately, I too have been a victim of unemployment. I have lost both of my cars and I really need a vehicle to transport my daughter back and fourth college and take care of my ailing parents. I'm the person responsible of taking care of my mother who has breast cancer and arthritis and my father who has had two bleeding strokes. Could someone please help me so that I can help my family. I too have major medical problems but this vehicle would help out so much. So if anyone has a vehicle out there who wants to share their good fortune, my family would be so grateful. Gods blessings.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going?? Sometimes we need help beyond what we are able to do ourselves. I have found myself at this cross roads in life.
My son and I need to relocate to Michigan as soon as possible but need financial help to do so. My resources are limited so I really need help to make this happen for him. I am actively saving, saving, saving but on a fixed income that makes it a long process but I'm sticking to the "plan".
My ex husband is currently in the hospital with a large tumor *3 tumors in left lung and cancer throughout his body* He also has a pulmonary embolism which is compressed by one of the tumors and the embolism could rupture at any time. He has lung cancer and is terminal in the final stage and only expected to live for one month or less. The doctor wants him to go into the hospitals hospice for care in his final days due to the seriousness of his situation. He is going to die at anytime, it is just a matter of time and heartbreak for my child. I can provide information if necessary to confirm the situation.
Where we live we have no family or emotional support. My twelve year old son wants to go back to Michigan where we do have the emotional support we need and the love family and friends can provide for him. I am here for him 24/7 but it is still very difficult just being the two of us.
It would be such a blessing if maybe someone could help financially so that we can move and make this happen! Any little bit would be a blessing and appreciated beyond belief. I am currently collecting money orders and putting them away to save the money up that is needed to move. The UHaul is $989. for a 10 foot truck, $129.00 for the truck insurance plan and gas, food and hotels while traveling. I am only taking what we absolutley must have which does not include large furniture only the things we cannot part with. Well enough of my moving woes and rambling. Just hoping for help I guess is the entire point. :)
I am saving all the money I can but it just isn't enough to move from the Seattle area to the upper peninsula of Michigan. Please understand our situation and prayers would also be appreciated.
Never in a million years should anyone's child go through what my son is enduring and all I want is for him to be happy and emotionally stable with support of loved ones.
From my heart to yours, Thank you for any help offered.

Hey. That is such a cute dog in your profile picture. I love small dogs. I wish I could have pets were I live. They said i could have fish but who wants a fish. You cant pet it or walk it or play with it.
in response to Schmidty...Dumb...Dumb....Dumb I sent a message to the your counter partThen I realized after sometime that you had changed your name, had to change your name. I can't figure out why.
All this upgrading that AIDPAGE has done , or at least says they have done has only made it slower and now the one to one is screwed up, it goes to a little white box and hangs up.Can't type nothing, have to go back a page or click out completely. Both of those would surely be a turn on for anyone just coming to the site, it's a shame it use to be a damn good site. Not no more.
Enough , Heres wishing that you have a happy and prosperous new year.Trala boomde a.
Ok, after reading your other post, where you explained about your wife's illness, I have to retract what I just said. I do not understand. Nobody can understand something like that unless they have gone through it. I'm so sorry. I do understand about financial destitution.
My wife was diagnosed with acute myleoid lukemia in 09 and it temp went into remission. She relapsed just recently and required a urgent stem cell transplant. Due to the fact she has required so muxh medical attention i have barely been able to work so i could be by her side and support her. We got married because wevwere in love and we just were not sure if she would make it. The bills have pilled up and ive fallen behind on payments for the wedding ring she deserved. We struggle day to day and she requires visits to the clinic so often. Any help would be appreciated. I hope i can raise 1000 dollars to help us in these so difficult times. Thank you and god bless i can be reached at brandonparrish4256@gmail.com or 6157156167

in response to Schmidty...Hey again Schmidty..my business is tutoring.I work for teaching public schools but have began my own tutoring business due to high demand in my area..I homeschool my kids and the charter school I homeschool them through wants to set me up as a vendor, they would send kids to me so that would mean quitting my teaching job and relying full time on referrals..so Im going to give it a go and see where it leads...my best wishes to you in 2012..I hope that you have a wonderful new year as well..

Hi, I made this page for my mother shes 51 years old shes a nurse by trade just like me. But shes had cancer 5 times (2 breast cancer) (3 lung cancer) shes also bi-polar and struggles with depression and pain, sprained back from lifting her elderly patients, shes had surgery on both feeet, she has asthma and emphysema.. Shes been at the hospital since Early December. I'm 9 months pregnant and work 2 part jobs and I still cant come up with my mothers rent money for this month and possibly next month due to the fact I don't know how long shes going to be in the hospital. It hurts she might miss my child being born because shes so sick. But I know its christmas time and she feels alone in the hospital. I'm really worried because 17 years ago she went in the hospital with staphylococcus pneumonia.and bronchitis and she died 3 times and came back to life they used a Defibulator. Which in turn made 2/3 of her lungs pump out then was in a coma for 17 days. Years later is when she got the cancers, my grandmother had cancer 8 times before it spread to her brain and she was disintegrated. The weird thing was she was in the same room this last thursday as she was 17 years ago which is weird. All I know she needs help with her rent its already late.. please reply with some advice or help thanks. Her medical bills are also adding up
god bless
God please send me an angel I'm trying so hard I know you work in mysterious ways I will not lose faith in you. Thank you for all you have blessed me an my family with.

I am a longtime metastasized cancer (melanoma) survivor/warrior and also have Lupus, Fibromyalgia (comes with Lupus, I guess) and have been very fortunate with things remaining in remission for years, but not without recurring scares (lumps, bumps, suspicious xrays, scans).
I had such a scare this summer while up in Colorado working a work camping job in the Rockies. It was thought melanoma was back in a CT scan. Could not return to Houston (MD Anderson Cancer Center) due to lack of money, so we went on to my husband's next temporary job as Seasonal Work Camper help at their Fernley, NV warehouse.
I finally got into an Oncologist here and thank GOD the PET taken in early Nov. showed that the lymph nodes and enlarged spleen shown in the August CT scan (done for suspicion of blood clots due to swollen leg) were down and showed NO cancer. However, a nodule on my right area thyroid did light up and a FNA (fine needle aspiration) biopsy showed high probability of cancer.
We are heading back to Houston ASAP and awaiting the schedule (likely the 2nd week of January) for surgery. The surgery will dictate what is done next. If it is cancer, I will need follow up treatment and that may require us remaining near Houston. Since we live full time in our travel trailer now (we took work camping jobs to keep afloat after the economy took a downturn for the construction trade. Hubby is a very longtime carpenter.) we need help to pay for a month or two in a Medical Center area RV park in Houston, and for food, fuel and to pay our recurrent bills that amount to just under $1000 per month. We had a potential winter job lined up for when we arrived back in TX (our home state) but now we don't know what will happen and with nobody (hubby or me) working, we will be in dire straits. If we have to stay longterm, he will look for work locally in Houston, but for a month or two, we don't know what to do. Is there any kind of help out there for us? We really need assistance.
Hello, well...I realize that there are far more people in this world that needs and deserves assistance. But...this year has been a huge burden on our family. From the beginning, I live in Norfolk, NE. My elderly mother lived in Sioux Falls, SD. all her life, she is 74. In 2005 her mother passed away, then her sister in 2006. My mother was diagnosed with diabetes at 44, she has fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, in 2009 in Sioux Falls, SD., she was dianosed with Multiple Myeloma cancer, a terninally ill cancer. My husband and I drove back and forth taking turns caring for her and getting her to the Dr. Appts. We bought her a brand new lift chair for her to get in and out easier. She was getting so weak, that she required 24 hour help, so I placed her in a nursing home in SD. That was for only two months, then, we finally decided to move her closer to us in Norfolk, NE in a nursing home here. She was going through quite a bit of health issues with chemo and switching different meds and doctors, she had a port infection, hospital stay for two weeks. Four months went by and the state had to evaluate her, when they did, they thought she was capable of living in her own apartment. We got things moved and everything unpacked, it took 3 weeks to get her place the way she needed it. On June 1st, 2010, she was enjoying her move to her own place. June 25th she fell, and broke her femur in three places. Was in the hospital for 3 more weeks and back to the nursing home, where she has been now since then. She did therapy and mow wears a brace on her left leg that she broke, she will never wall again. She is a heavier boned lady and since she broke her hip, she cannot sleep in a bed, she has gotten used to sleeping in her loft chair. Well...that lift chair is hazardess to her on account the remote gets stuck and she can't get in or out at times and the wires stuck out of the remote, and was loose at the plug in part. Now the janitor looked at it and said we can tape it for you with electrical tape, but maybe your family could replace the part, well, that was $200 that nobody has. Keep in mind I have other family members, but not one of them will financially help me even if they could. They souly rely on me for everything!! Well this year has been tough on my husband and I medically, I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and fibromyalgia, along with iron and Vit D deficiencies. I haven't worked since 2009 at first on account of going back and forth taking care of mom, so I do not work outside the home. We are financially stressed. There is a reason I am telling you all this, it helps me clear the air, so to speak and because since my mother sleeps and sits in her lift chair and it is a hazard for her, Medicare will not covera new one since she is in a nursing home. I am asking you to please have mercy to help my mother her a lift chair that works properly. There is a very nice lady here in Norfolk that lost her father two weeks sgo, God Bless his soul, she is selling his lift chair for $450.00. But I just don't even have any money for that now, with the holidays and our mortgage being behind, we can't do it this time. That's really all I need help with, other than the fact, she seriously needs clothing that fits her. After stopping her chemo treatments and going to onocolgists regularily and getting labs done every 2 months, she has gained alot of weight, with being bound to wheelchair, then to a chair, she doesnt get to lose any weight there. So...I guess, I asking for help with the two things, a descent and safe lift chair and some descent cloths for her wear. She wears size 3x on bottom, and 4x on top, she likes slacks with elastic around the waist and nice blouses for tops, she wears ted hose on both legs with one brace on her left leg. She gets special diabetic shoes, so she wouldnt need them. She could use a nice coat with hood, and diabetic socks. Thank you for taking the time to read my concerns, she really deserves a nice smile on her face with joy in her heart, just one time? I hope we can get some help somewhere, I am reaching out for any help! Thank you! God be with you and all his children, thank you and God be with you always, Schebereal

in response to karol_slim34...I have six kids and am struggling to pay bills. I have a new company I just started a couple of months ago that is quickly gaining ground but I need cash to keep it going a couple of more months until it is out of the red. Both our cars are needing repair and I have no money for bills or Christmas. I don't want to lose everything I have worked so hard for. I need $10K dollars to get my finances in order and have any kind of chance to keep my new business up and not lose my investment I have in it. Please help me at this very hard time in my life.
Well, I stumbled upon this site & Im really not one to believe in coincidences, so I decided to join. Maybe God directed here. I am a 38 y/o single Mother. I NEVER use that as a "poor me." I love my children & am blessed to have them both. I have done well for them through working hard & with my Mother's help. However, in 2008 I became seriously ill & almost died. I had a hemoglobin of 5 & a Ferritin level of less than 1. (They told me 0 is death!) To make a long story short, I have a type of anemia that requires blood transfusions and iron infusions the rest of my life. So, I go to the Cancer Center & sit a few times every couple of months for them. It is a humbling experience. It was difficult for me to accept this diagnosis because it was PERMANENT & couldnt do ANYTHING to fix it. In addition, this past June while I was driving down the highway, I saw a car swerving out of control. I stopped to help a man who literally chased it down to stop it. The driver was unconscious & had stopped breathing. I pulled him from the car & found a thready pulse. But, I knew he wouldnt make it unless someone gave him lifesaving breaths. I begged passersby, "Please, I have an 8 month old baby. I can't do this, I need help. No one would do it. As I saw him turning bluer, I decided that he was someone's son, brother, maybe father, friend or husband & I decided that God had put me there to help. So, I began giving him mouth to mouth. After several minutes, he began to pink up a bit. When the ambulance arrived, they tubed him & took him to the hospital. He LIVED! And later, he contacted me. He was a 22 y/o man who had accidentally overdosed on Heroin & was Hepatitis C positive. I was thankful he was alive (and in recovery) but terrified. Now, I have to be tested for it & I can't lie, it weighs heavily on me. But, I have come to terms with it & thank God that I have an amazing family & physician to help me. I even started my own business with my Mom. She retired this past summer at the age of 62. She did it on a wing and a prayer with FAITH as her guide. She had a couple thousand dollars in retirement & decided to start the business with me. She had worked her job for 19 yrs and only accumulated a couple thousand dollars in retirement for all of that labor. Crazy. Anyway, she lost her health insurance upon retiring & she doesn't qualify for Medicare until 65. But, she had FAITH that God would see her through. Mom had lost her Mother exactly one year ago, due to cancer. It was devastating to Mom & she vowed to start living life to the fullest. So, when retirement came, she went for it!!! Now, however we have found a growth on my Mom's ear. It has gone from being less than pea size to consuming almost her entire upper ear in less than a couple months. Her Mother had skin cancer & deep down, we know what this is because we have seen it before. We are terrified. I am afraid that I will lose my Mom & my girls will lose their Grandmother. Deep in my heart, I think this may be her last Christmas with them. I DO have faith in God, but we are in dire need of medical care and/or money for her. I know most people may think, well a few thousand dollars may fix her up. BUT, we dont even have $50.00 in our bank accounts combined. Our business is holding on by a thread & at this pace, will be closed by Jan 1. I don't want to see my Mom get sick AND lose her dream all because she took a leap of faith to live out her dreams. I've never been the person who asked for handouts & we've always worked hard. This has just been a really trying year, which we thought was improving & has become worse. We refuse to give in to the fear & sorrow that is looming, so I thought that maybe this is a lesson in humility, so I am asking for help. Please, please help me with any advice or monetary donations.
